Notes: I have never been a war movie fan. The closest I come to liking them is M*A*S*H, but I’m talking about the TV series. I didn’t care for the movie version, MASH. Now, Kimberly Peirce directed the disturbing Boys Don’t Cry (with Hilary Swank), based on a true story, and I liked Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Third Rock From the Sun (TV sitcom). There’s no comedy here, though. Stop Loss is about an U.S. soldier who refuses to return to duty in Iraq, after his tour has already finished.
