Movie Box Office Top 10 - Mon Mar 24, 2008

Of the seven wide and limited release movies that opened this past weekend, three made the top 5 in box office receipts, and one made #10, despite being in limited release. None of the new releases made #1, but the big surprise (at least to me) is that Meet the Browns took #2. Shutter’s had enough buzz that a #3 isn’t too surprising, though I really expected it to be #2. It only edged out Drillbit Taylor by US$100,000 in receipts.

In older releases, Horton Hears a Who! maintained it’s number one spot for a second week.
