DVD Releases

As per Ebert + Roper, Sun Nov 4th, 2007, the following DVDs are either now out or about to be released.
Roper panned the first two in the past, but I’ve only seen Seinfeld and Help!, so I can’t comment. Links are to their corresponding IMDB pages.
- I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Adam Sandler (Chuck), Kevin James (Larry), Jessica Biel, Dan Akroyd, Ving Rhames, Steve Buscemi, Nicholas Turturro and many more. Apparently, the cast couldn’t save this movie full of bad stereotypes.
- Deck the Halls. Danny DeVito, Matthew Broderick, Kristin Davies. Even the two heavyweights couldn’t do anything for a bad script full of questionable, inappropriate moments.
- Ratatouille. This animated film features the voices of Patton Oswalt, Brian Dennehy, Peter O’Toole, Brad Garrett, Janeane Garofalo and others, and has had high marks from critics and fans.
- Seinfeld Box Set. The show about nothing - but was really about all of our collective neuroses - is now available in its 9-season entirety in a DVD box set.
- Help! This is the restored version of 1965 Beatles classic, featuring John, Paul, George and Ringo - and many others you’ve possibly never heard of.
