Spike Lee Judging Babelgum Online Film Festival

In addition to the Encounters Short Film Festival, the Internet TV application Babelgum also hosts their own Online Film Festival. The festival offers seven chances to win Euros20,000 (approximately US$40,000).

Jury members include American filmmaker Spike Lee and industry experts from US, UK, The Netherlands, France, India, Italy. The festival is open to professionally-produced content that meets qualifying criteria. Submission is free but the deadline is Feb 15, 2008. Each category has its own prize, and there are seven qualifying categories:

1. Looking for Genius
2. Short Film
3. Documentary
4. Animation
5. Social/ Environment
6. Spot/ Advertising
7. Music Video
