The information keeps trickling out. First Winona Ryder is cast as Spock’s human mother, now Zachary Quinto (who he?) as a young Spock. I lost track of the Star Trek movie universe, after they fell behind on a few films. But I’m still looking forwards to this. Long live and profit, Star Trek.

Oscar’s Foreign Films Category Rules Questioned

A number of foreign filmmakers are wondering why their films are not eligible for the Oscars this year. Talkshows are the first victims of Writer’s Guild strike. In fact, they’ll go into reruns as of today. The last strike, which happened over 20 years ago, cost the industry a half billion dollars. This one might cost a billion.
